Why we make it this way

A skate deck hung from a backyard limb changes how you move through the yard. We build this board from maple wood, top it with grip tape, and hang it on rope with adjustable handles. Pumping your legs drives the arc and keeps you swinging high above the grass.

• Tapered Maple DeckWe cut each board from maple wood with a tapered shape that measures roughly 31 inches long and nearly 8 inches wide. It gives your feet a firm base while you lean into turns.
• Rope and Adjustable HandlesRiders hold adjustable handles strung directly along the hanging lines. You can slide the handles to match your height and grip them tight while carving back and forth through the air.
• Grip Tape TopThe upper surface features rough grip tape from nose to tail in the green Undawadda pattern. Bare feet and skate shoes find plenty of traction while shifting weight during a high swing.
• Weight and Rider SpecsThis stand-up swing supports up to 200 pounds and suits riders ages 6 and up. It lets kids and adults pump their legs, find their balance, and soar over the lawn.
